Ascenda International College is proud to be an official Supporting Organization for the upcoming Malaysia International Music Festival. This international event brings together talented young musicians from across Southeast Asia for a meaningful cultural and musical exchange.
The festival aims to celebrate diverse musical traditions, discover emerging artistic talent, and encourage youth development through music and cross-cultural learning. It also supports the continued cultural exchange between China and Malaysia through the universal language of music.
Festival Highlights
Elite Masterclasses
Learn directly from experienced judges, professors from leading music conservatories in China, and professional musicians from Malaysia.
Exclusive Festival Memorabilia
Each participant will receive a personalised “My Music Growth Handbook” and a creative activity kit to record their festival experience.
Master Performances
Enjoy special concerts and live demonstration sessions by internationally recognised music professionals from China and Malaysia.
International Recognition
Winners will receive trophies and certificates, while all participants will receive a “Cross-Cultural Music Exchange Envoy” participation certificate.

Participants may join as individuals or groups, with no limit on the number of participants for group performances.
Event Schedule
Day 1 – 18 August 2026
All Day
Participant check-in and registration and collection of official competition materials, including participant badges and the “Music Growth Handbook.”
12:00 – 17:00
Free pre-competition practice sessions in rooms equipped with pianos, guzhengs, and drum sets.
14:30 – 16:00
Malay Nursery Rhyme Singing Class featuring Chan Mali Chan, which will be performed during the awards ceremony.
16:30 – 18:30
Master Demonstration & Sharing Session with live performances and Q&A sessions led by international judges and music professionals.
By Appointment
Campus-style photography session with professional photographers at selected scenic locations.
Day 2 – 19 August 2026
09:00 – 16:00
Elite Advanced Masterclasses conducted by international judges, and “Music Growth Handbook” creative session with art materials and decorating tools provided.
16:30 – 17:00
International Finals competitions by category and age group. (Specific participant check-in times will be announced later.)
18:30 – 20:00
International Finals Awards Ceremony at the Grand Hall Theater, and a group chorus performance of Chan Mali Chan by all participants as the closing program.
